Farewell to The World's Largest Saltwater Crocodile in Captivity "Lolong"


Respect to the World's Largest Saltwater Crocodile in Captivity "Lolong". Lolong was caught near the town of Bunawan in Agusan del Sur, Philippines last September 2011 and made the town of Agusan del Sur famous and became a tourist attraction.

Lolong was measured at 6.17 meters (20 feet 3 inches) and recognized as the new largest crocodile in captivity by The Guinness Book of World Records.But now, the World's Largest Saltwater Crocodile in Captivity died last February 10, 2013 at the age estimated 50 years old as such a young age.

Lolongs' Necropsy
The body of Lolong had been underwent a necropsy by the Philippine veterinarians last Tuesday February 12, 2013 to find out what is the real cause of death. Mayor Edwin Elorde said that the result of the necropsy will be announced in two weeks as the experts are still conducting a further laboratory test of Lolongs' vital organs.

World Record
The record will be reverted to Cassius 5.48 meters (17 feet 11.75 inches) of MarineLand Melanesia in Queensland, Australia.
